Twenty years on Medical Drive
Smile Arts Dental opened in 2004 and has been welcoming Carmel families ever since. One dentist, one office, and a founding idea called Fear-Less Dentistry.
The story
Dr. Alex Balaban founded Smile Arts Dental in 2004 and still treats every patient himself, so the person who examines you is the person who cares for you. The practice focuses on cosmetic and restorative dentistry alongside everyday family care, and it was built around the patients other offices call difficult: anxious patients, patients who have trouble getting numb, and patients coming back after years away.
The schedule is shaped around working lives. Monday hours run to 7 pm for commuters, walk-ins are welcome during office hours, and Thursday and Saturday visits are available by appointment.
You will find us at 200 Medical Drive, Suite A, Carmel, IN 46032, a few minutes from anywhere in Carmel and an easy drive from Westfield, Zionsville, and the north side of Indianapolis.

Dr. Alex Balaban, DDS
Two dental degrees, two decades of practice, and one founding conviction: nobody should have to be brave to see their dentist. Dr. Balaban built Smile Arts Dental in 2004 around the patients other offices call difficult, and they have been repaying him with 5-star reviews ever since.
